Our Mission

"To provide an affordable club experience for academically-focused students who want to continue to develop their passion in volleyball."

Program Leadership & Training

Executive Director (External Affairs): Eric Ng

Co-founder & Coaching Director: Joey Chang

Practice Schedule: 3 times per week

Location: Local middle school(s)

Team Structure

We do not form team(s) by age group. Instead, we will form either 1 or 2 teams based strictly on skill level. Teams compete in the 15-18s division for WCVBA leagues and events. For Far Western (NCVA), we may compete in the 16s or 17s age level depending on the oldest player’s birthday on the team.

Why Tri-Valley Alliances?

  • Academic Balance: We focus on academically oriented kids who want a club path that lets them balance school priorities with competitive volleyball.
  • Reduced Travel Time: Most players will be from local high schools in the immediate area, cutting down on commute times.
  • Minimized Costs & Disruptions: We play exclusively in the WCVBA league and do not chase multiple far-away qualifiers, protecting your weekends and avoiding missed school days.
  • Non-Profit, Transparent Structure: An extremely thin organization means significantly lower costs to players to relieve financial burdens. Every dollar is fully transparent.

Tournament Schedule & Fees

Base Club Fee: Around $3,500*

*Club Fee includes jersey costs. All club/team finances are entirely transparent to participating families.

Optional Leadership Mini-Projects

At Tri-Valley Alliances, volleyball is the foundation of the experience, but interested players may also choose to take on optional off-the-court mini-projects that help develop leadership, communication, organization, creativity, and real-world problem-solving skills.

These mini-projects are not required. They are designed as optional opportunities for athletes who want to contribute to the team community beyond practices and tournaments. For players who choose to participate, these projects can also become meaningful passion projects that may support their future college applications.

Possible Mini-Project Opportunities:

Brand & Aesthetic Design Help design team graphics, choose team names, select color palettes, or contribute ideas for jerseys and spirit wear.
Financial Awareness & Fundraising Help brainstorm fundraising ideas, support sponsor outreach, or learn how team budgets and expenses are organized.
Logistics & Planning Help create tournament checklists, organize team reminders, or research team bonding activities and meals.
Communications & Marketing Help create social media content, team updates, newsletters, or other communication materials for the club community.
Event & Gameday Support Help with end-of-season celebrations, parent appreciation ideas, match-day organization, video setup, or officiating-duty reminders.
